Warning Description: Winter Storm Watch

Warning Date: 3:34 PM EST on February 8, 2010

WarningSum:...Winter Storm Watch In Effect From Tuesday Morning Through
Wednesday Evening...

Warning Message:The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a Winter
Storm Watch...which is in effect from Tuesday morning through
Wednesday evening. 
Snow and sleet is expected to develop late Tuesday morning across
the central Virginia Piedmont and spread to the Northern Neck by
early Tuesday afternoon. Snow and sleet is expected to transition
to sleet and freezing rain Tuesday evening...and then back to snow
late Tuesday night continuing through the day Wednesday. Total
snow and sleet accumulation of 4 inches or more is possible
through Wednesday afternoon. Minor to moderate ice accumulations
are possible.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow...sleet...or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
